I believe communication technologies are are either devolving or have reached a point where all possibilities have been exhausted. The logical next step after texting is Morse code.

I have managed to convince some people not to use abbreviations. Except for the really obvious.
lol, ok, 2mo, stuff like that.

None of these words with numbers like m8 - and some people add the "T" so it's Matey.

In science fiction the main method of communication is nearly always a combination of audible and graphical so devolving to a text based method of communication is ridiculous. It is like riding a horse instead of using an aeroplane.

Seriously? You guys were dumped with a one-word text message? And the NTs think *we're* the ones with communication problems.

Especially hate one-word texts because I don't have an unlimited plan.
