They don't need to admit or own up to something they themselves didn't do but it's just annoying they keep lobbying against it, and I'm guessing in Turkish history classes they don't teach it was a genocide.

To be genocide, they would not have stopped at the Armenian border.

The Turkish Civil War was bloody, no doubt. But it was confined to the country.

The Turkoman tribes came with the Golden Horde, and stayed.

It was not the first time that Mongolians had been involved in local politics.

While they have been given bad press in Europe, the Empire of the Khan was huge, and based on the trade between China and Europe.

It was the same group that traded Chinese silk to the Romans, and would only take gold and silver in payment. Atillia rode to France to face a Roman invasion, stopped it, but the Romans tried to put spin on the loss.

Other people were the Persians, who offended the Khan, mistreated diplomats, and in return, three cities vanished. Cities also vanished in China. When Ibn Khaldun met Tammerlane about 1300, he had just erased several cities that had not kept their trade agreements. In all cases, they killed everything, tore down the cities, dragged away the stones, and rode on the ground till there was no trace.

Some bright Islamic rulers thought they should move north and cut the Europe to China trade route, The Khan sent a million men and five million horses. Turkey was occupied to block the northen route.

The Arabs did counter attack once, overran the Turks, a violation of the terms of peace, the reply was the Turks overran all of Islam, and the formation date of the Ottoman Turkish Empire, also known as The Khanate, was 1294. By then they ruled Islam.

Trade along the Silk Road, is very old, profitable, and even in Roman times, it was the small end of the route. All along the road were rest houses, spare horses, and troops to protect the trade. It is also the first postal service, connecting the Empire with stations with fresh riders and horses every twenty five miles. Information traveled as fast as a horse could run from China to Europe. The troops protected the traders, hunted bandits, and some bandits were nations.

Tammerlane met Ibn Khaldun in Egypt, having just come through what was Arab lands, leaving a lot less people along his march. Egypt made peace. It was the end of the Golden Age of Islam. All of Islam accepted that the Khanate, through the Ottoman Turkish Empire, was superior to all of the local rulers.

It was to protect trade, and bring order. The Arabs had been raiding from the south, and the Christians loved their crusades. The Khan settled the Turks between them. The Huns took Hungary. It brought peace. The Kip Chak Huns settled in Eastern Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithania. Kip means blond. Hungarians are not Asians The Turkoman are, but the world of the Altai Mountains and beyond was as diverse as the world. It's history is old.

The Turks tolerated all religions, their rule was equal to all, just, and the Armenian problem was a chirstian minority being armed by the British and in rebellion. So they killed them. If a people have not learned to live in peace in six hundred years, what else can you do?

This was the same British who armed the Saud family, and with superior arms they killed their friends, relitaves, neighbors, for British money. They were a minor tribe in Arabia.

So yes, the Turks stood up to the challenge, fought a bloody civil war, and extirminated the traitors. They did not go on to extirminate Armenia. They did not kill all the Christians.

The blood of the Armenians, the people of Arabia, is on British hands.

After the Shah was run out of Iran, Saddam was the American proxy in the Iran Iraq war, lots of blood, for money. Then we got the Marsh Arabs of the south, and the Kurds of the north, to try to kill him, he killed about 10,000 of each. There was a lot of slant drilling from Kuwait, Iraqi oil was being stolen. A lot of Kuwaites dies for that.

We have played the Kurds again, armed them, they have a flag, they claim northern Iraq. They are going to die.

All of this blood is because oil companies wanted the oil.

Who commits genocide?

So far, no one. Not a single biological race nor a single cultural group has been eliminated in the entirety. There have been some vigorous tries, though.

They don't have to take responsibility for it as individuals, but they do need to acknowledge it.

Like the British need to acknowledge their role in planning the American Civil War.

It was about the control of cotton, cloth, and world markets.

Behind every river of blood is someone who could make money on it.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!

The White House and the State Department have demanded the house Member who is pushing this just shut up.

He is from California, and his personal actions are because Turkey will not declare war on Iran, in support of some small mideastern country. That they share a border, have long been major trade partners, offends him.

Turkey has withdrawn their Ambassador to the US, we have military bases there, but no Diplomatic relations now.

Turkey and Armenia are in talks about their border, trade, and both have said, "Tell that fool to shut the f up!"

Armenia is facing the Greater Georgia claims to being the overlord of near everything, based on a 12th Century map. Containing Georgia has brought a new understanding between Turkey and Armenia. Georgia has been making claims that Russia and Iran are break away provences of Georgia. They claim Church Records show that they were given the rule over the Kingdom of Prester John in 1247.

This is all a violation of the principal that politics stops at the water's edge, and we do have a State Department to show a unified message to all other nations. Being from California this House Member was likely educated there, and is the poster boy for, tests about the principals and operation of the United States Government should be required before taking any elected office.

The short version, he has commited Treason.

In a letter of protest The Turkish State Department has offered advice about dealing with the failed State and break away provence of Kurdafornia.

In other developments the Persian Empire, the Ottoman Turkish Empire, and Syria have come to an agreement to resolve local problems by annexing Irag, and restoring Syrian control of Mecca.

The refusal to allow Turkey into the Eurozone, accepting Georgia into NATO, plus insults from a California Congressmen, have forced them to form their own Economic and Military Union.

The Khanate will bring in other member States, and their currency will be called, The Petro.

Early recognition has come from Russia and China.

It wasn't genocide. It was a massacre

The closest thing to genocide in the recent history of the world was the slaughter of nearly all the Tasmanians.

I challenge anyone to name a single biological race or a single identifiable ethnic group that has been eliminated in the entirety.

The 500 Nations of North America, nowhere near 500 now.

Total extirnination is not needed for it to be genocide, just making war on a group, stealing their land, and murdering all you can find.

Native Americans were held as non citizen hostiles until 1974. Before that they had no rights whatsoever.

Not only was it genocide, it also was directed at breeds, and Injun Lovers.

I agree about Tasmania, also the best lands in Australia were cleared of prior ownership.

When you put a bounty on scalps, any age or sex, it is genocide.

genocide is whole or part and it isn't exclusive to race.
