Has anyone ever heard of this? Do you think it's more likely aspies can get this?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adjustment_disorder

I first heard of it when I was 18 when mom was signing me up for SSI and she said about me having this. I figured then it meant I had difficulty get used to change and it takes me a while to get comfortable and then I am back to normal. I figured it was an AS thing except they had decided to give it a separate name for that trait.

But I decided to look it up one year and saw it was not what I thought it was. I don't know if I was ever diagnosed with this or not. I never knew about it until I heard my mom talking on the phone. I never asked her about it either.

According to the DSM, this is only a temporary disorder.

I think I may fit this relating to the job I started at the end of summer 2008, one month ago I decided to seek some help and actually this line from the wiki page "The primary treatment for adjustment disorder is talking. This reduces the pressure of the stressor and enhances coping. It allows the patient to put his or her rage into words rather than into destructive actions" is pretty true in my case.

I think I may have it when I think of how I plan or think about going into social situations, but my aversion to change has always been there. I'd have to go back years and years to know why I loathed it so much.

I satisfy A, B and D but not E. Does a diagnosis of Asperger's fail condition C?

Probably. But criterias are complicated. According to the ADHD criteria, you can't have AS but yet there are aspies who also have ADHD. So doctors don't take them literal. That's why they don't follow them.
