For some reason I am more vulnerable to cold temperatures than most people could this be because of my AS?

I also have AS, and I share the same heightened sensitivity to cold. I don't know if it's AS related though.

I find that I can be very vulnerable to the cold. There are times in the summer, that I need a blanket around me. I wonder if it's the temperatures, or the cruel, cold world, out there.

I am very vulnerable to cold, but I don't eat properly.
After my husband died, my friend started staying round a bit, and basically observed me. Then she kicked my butt about my eating habits.

I now have Weetabix and milk in the morning, and try to have a proper lunch and dinner.

I also try to remember to treat myself to anything I want, like cream cakes and profiteroles in between, trying to make up the calories.

But the most important thing is to have orange juice, at least a bit, with or near mealtime. Apparently, vitamin C helps you absorb iron from food, and I used to tend to be on the anaemic side, and this has cleared up just with that. Of course, having more iron in the blood will naturally make my body more efficient.

Speaking of blankets, I'm going to get under one, right now. Good night. :)

I'm a wuss in the cold but I always thought this had to do with being 'an complainin' Aussie.' A lot of us complain that we're too cold in winter, because our summers are just too damn hot.
But I'm now finding these autumn nights have been getting a bit chilly. I'm comfortable at 22-30 degrees. 30 degrees might push it if I'm walking.
I like to rug up in the winter, though it doesn't snow here. And I'm draining the gas from the heater, which ends up being expensive.

only in my extremities. the rest of me could be sweating up a storm but my hands and feet will be cold, both internal sensation and cold to external touch. i have to wear gloves a lot now, and fuzzy booties over me feet. while i am sitting in front of a fan or an air conditioner.

My apartment is cold but yet I still walk around in my shirt and panties and I use blankets to stay warm.

and I can walk around in my birthday suit in the dead of winter or middle of the summer, and I am fine either way. My wife tells me I am a furnace to keep her warm.

I am nearly always cold but that's due to my weight, not my AS.

I remember being vulnerable to being in the cold, it was clearly uncomfortable experience since i became "anorexic" back in 2007, now i know that looks dont really matter as such now, now i know its the worst possible way to attract others.

I hate the cold... never thought to ask about this but now it makes me curious with how many others are so cold sensitive...

For some reason, if I get very cold and go inside, my hands get very tingly and itchy on the palms... does anyone else get this or know what it could be? They will turn red and blotchy at times, but I don't have to be out for a long time at all for it to happen.

I'm much more vulnerable to heat than to cold. It's much easier to put on a hat and a sweater than to get away from the heat. I'm fine up to 25 degrees C but above 30 degrees C I am not so well. But it helps if you can find a tree and stay there for the day, if you don't have to be somewhere else. And fortunately I haven't lived in very hot climates.

I also stay out of the sun in the summer. It just doesn't feel good, and I get burnt easily.
