Does anyone else obsessively edit their posts?

I do all the time. After I make my post, I'll review it, and if I notice a single spelling or grammar error I'll edit it. Sometimes I might even change the wording of my post for effect or to have it make more sense.

i do but it does little good, as i am alwyas overllking some misteak i made and witch my eyes just glossde-over. how frsutatign!

I don't really do that. I like to keep my posts, as they are. My strange grammar adds to my Cockney charm.

I tend to review mine obsessively before I post them. I often change them several times before I submit (and then half the time I end up deleting them as the process becomes frustrating to me). As a result, it has taken me up to an hour to post a single paragraph. I can be very slow... I think I have only edited one of my posts after submitting...

I do sometimes, when I check to see if I have spelt certain words correctly. I can spot certain spelling mistakes in posts here, and the posts people leave on here, You Tube and other similar websites. Some words I find easy to spell that others frequently make mistakes with.

At least with longer posts, I tend to compose them in a word processor and then cut and paste them into the forum text editor. I usually don't go back and edit a post once it has been made, but because I re-read and overwork my posts before submitting them, I usually don't have to.

And yet after I submit them, I still wonder if anything I write makes sense.

I check and recheck mine all the time, not only for spelling and grammar but the content as well. I think the number of posts I've written without submitting them far outweighs the ones I've actually posted. Generally I think I'm posting rubbish and on the rare occasions I start threads, I'll often then steer away because I'm afraid to see the replies.

I do too. Luckily I have Firefox so I see a lot of spelling errors before I submit a post, but it doesn't pick up homonym errors, just as word processor programs will not. Sometimes I catch a typo after I post and have to fix it.

Yes, I do this too. Same situation as pumibel, regarding Firefox + spellcheck. But besides fixing typos, I tend to edit posts when I want to add in a new thought; I'd much rather not make a new post for one or two extra sentences.

sure they work properly.
