This poll is based on the thread "why are only 12% of aspies employed.?".

The question is are you employed?

No, but when I finish college hopefully I can find a job. I think it's harder for aspies to get hired because they don't do well with interviews. It's also a tough economy so a lot of Americans are unemployed.

I was employed, both full and part-time for some 35 years - in between lengthy bouts of unemployment. Now I'm not legally allowed to be employed due to a discrimination against my Autism that no one will resolve. I didn't find that on the poll. :?

Fully employed doing things I can't do for any other employer because they don't see any value in it. I don't make a lot of money, but I am doing what I want to do, along the lines of what I proposed in the future works section of my thesis. I'm not employable for what I want to do in academia because I don't fit into already-set agendas. I take some pride in saying that it's not strictly of academic importance.

I'm employed full-time right now. When I'm unemployed I'm unemployed for long stretches. I guess I don't interview well.

I work for a really good company right now though, hopefully it lasts a while. :)

Full time but just barely, not 40 hours.
I do menial labor, cleaning offices, but I like it because I'm free to let my mind wander. Like a stressed out office worker once told me " Your mind is your own."
What it doesn't have is money, status or group health insurance.

Studying is like unemployment my parents don't mind telling their friends about.

The results of this will be skewed as more people who are in employment will visit this section of the site.

I don't know about that. I'm unemployed and I visit this section quite often.

I work, part time. But nowhere near enough to make a living, more like gas and beer money. I need a full time job in addition to this little gig I have on the side.
