What will YOU be doing to advance the importance and recognition of Autism on Autism Awareness Day, April 2nd?

If you feel you are unimportant and cannot make a difference in this huge world...think again... and simply wear the color BLUE which is the chosen "color" for Autism Awareness.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do...I wasn't even aware that April 2nd was Autism Awareness Day. Maybe I'll let some of my friends know via Facebook.

Please tell me more about Autism Awareness day and April being Autism Awareness Month.

I am trying to find out if this is something created by Autism Speaks, or is it much broader in scope.

If this is an Autism Speaks thing, I would rather ignore this. I don't want to join facebook groups for the day and find out later it was not in my best interest.

Some good that does us, to have Autism Awareness Day on Good Friday.
(What is that supposed to mean, that our families should think of us as a cross to bear? No, thank you!)

At least it isn't April first. I still wish it wasn't even in the first week of April, because some consider it April fools week. Whoever chose this was bad with a calendar. Oh well...

Or maybe that we ourselves have a cross to bear?

We ourselves have a cross to bear, because the world wants us to change to suit them.

+ Sure that is true. But also because of our getting confused or overwhelmed or such. Or our executive dysfunction or sensory issues.
