I think we'll hear the story when it's time. On the plus side, the key word "again" was used which indicates a person who is willing to take a chance. There are no real guarantees in life, and unless you choose to pursue, your likelihood of finding the one is very slight.

I remember in a picture thread that you had good reactions. It seems odd that you'd be the one left with a broken heart and not be a heartbreaker yourself. :p

After a few years of anguish and despair I pursued a relationship with a girl that I have known for near a decade.

Sorry to hear about that brotha. I've had my heart broken too and it's a terrible terrible thing.

I hear you man. It happens to me, too, and I'm not even as careful as you going with people I know for a long time - I just jump in and take a chance. Usually events and social data overwhelms my processing ability. But not my ability to compromise, communicate, be considerate, care, love or show affection. Those I am proud of. Good luck, you might be similar, someone out there will recognise your strengths. You have to keep looking, just with some protection for your heart and without desperation.

Thats what usually happens to me, due to a lack of...whatever normal people do.
