Good memory skills

My short-term memory skills are shocking!

It's just the opposite with me. Despite my terrible short-term memory I have a very good long-term memory. That means, I may not remember something I've just read, but a few hours -or days!- later I can remember (almost) every detail of it. :!: :?:

We have a tendency to amaze, and blow people away, with our knowledge of our specialist subject areas, whatever they may be - including if our focus is numbers, names, places, words, or any type of detail. This shows our AS in a positive light, whether or not they know we have something called AS.

I thought this was worth emphasising and putting in bold.

i think there are many advatage to being aspie.

- ability to focus on one thing.

-people tend to trust you

- (more to do with being mute this one) people will listen when you speak.

-I got my job from it (i obbsessed with prgramming and got a job in it way above the job most people my age have)

- above adverage inteligence

- have a purpose in life,

- have thing you enjoy.

You got pretty lucky with that.
My interest is wars and a bit of history.
I have to wait for a movie to come out for something interesting.
A good war movie comes out like 1 time a year
I'd seen every one of them like 5 years ago.
The result is that i get bored to death all the time.

About the intelegence thing.
I used to score well above average when i was young.
Than i had sleeping problems for about 10 years and didn't go to school for a few years.
And my iq score became about 103 :(
If your wondering.
That's about 10-15 lower than my brothers.
So i got the impression AS was just negative for it.
I did get higher scores than them when i was young though 8)

I'm 21 atm and am still totally clueless as to what work i want to do for the rest of my life.
With my interest there just doesn't seem to be a job.
The army is ruled out because of my sleeping problems.

positive aspects of AS related 'problems' means that we're not subjected to the 'normal' avenues of brainwashing propogated by the mass media so that in effect we remain as 'free-thinkers'.
To my way of thinking this is a 100% win situation for the 'afflicted'.
