I am 18 and I feel like I'm 12 and 47 at the same time. Is that common to feel older and younger at the same time, or is it just totally weird?

It's common for aspies/auties to have a mental/intellectual age of someone older and an emotional age of someone younger, hence the feeling 47 and 12 at the same time. I feel older and younger too. Sometimes I wish I could just feel my age like most people do because it would make relating to peers a lot easier.

Not uncommon. I think it comes from having aspects of yourself that fit various age-group stereotypes simultaneously, and so not being able to identify exclusively with one age group.

I can identify with some aspects of people anywhere from age one and older. (Younger than that and there's no self-awareness and I have always been so utterly aware of my own existence that it is the preeminent driving force of my life.) And I do mean "and older", as in, there are some parts of me I can actually identify with elderly folks better than anybody else.

I'm physically 19. Mentally and emotionally I'm around 14 or 15, according to my mom.

I am 30 years old chronologically.

Sometimes I'm 5 years old according to my parents. Other times I feel like 20. My real age is 14.

I think my chronological age has caught up with my intellectual age. Both are about 50.

My physical age (the age I look) is still a good 10 years behind that.

My emotional age is somewhere in the mid to late 20s

My psychological age, in terms of responsibility and the way I see the world, is still trapped somewhere between 12 and 18, and I think this is the source of most of my anxiety and depression, but probably is also the source of most of my sense of humor. I make everything a joke to hide the fact that I'm terrified at not having the Executive skills to cope. :(

Emotionally I am very young and rather naive, so easily around 16. I love hard, trust when I shouldn't, and find cynicism distasteful.

Mentally however I am much older than my age, most people who know me would say 50 or so. Both because of all that I have experienced in life and the capacity to retain and analyze it, but also because of how weary and aged it has made me.

I feel like a 16 year old, who's madly in love with the young Mick Avory. Too bad it's not 1965. 8)

I would put myself in middle age intellectually, 15-20 emotionally, and behavior ranges between the two depending on activity.

I am close to 50 but emotionally feel like 12. I feel like I just got stuck at that age and never have been able to grow up any more. I have a job that pays well for my obsessions so I can afford my needs. I don't want to change who I am because my life is fun and confusing at the same time.

I feel like I'm between 12-14. Sometimes I can feel as young as 6.

I was taken out of high school and home schooled at 13 and since then I really haven't felt like I've grown, both physically and emotionally.
Sometimes I can go back to my kindergarten years, as the extremely quiet and shy girl that would wander around the school in the same circle again and again, completely absorbed in her own little world.
Only difference is I can talk to people more. It feels weird though, being able to talk to people and not looking at them as though they were a demonic spirit.

Sometimes I act more mature and sensible then people my age though.
