There's a sort of ambiguity here: between music from my favourite movies, and movies with my favourite music.

The first "all-time favourite" movie that comes to my mind is Nashville, but I generally wouldn't listen to the music from the movie on its own. On the other hand, my favourite soundtrack by far is Peter Gabriel's Passion, partly written for The Last Temptation of Christ, but I haven't even seen the film.
