I have skype and I've already got you on my list, but I'm only on it most on weekends, by the time I'm on skype, you'd probably either be sleeping still or its early morning.

I use Skype for overseas business calls and I save a FORTUNE.

I actually used Skype to make a 'social' call today to an old friend in Poland (ok, I admit he is also an ex colleague as well ) but I think it STILL counts as a social call

Agreed. This forum can even be browsed by search engine spiders. I vote for this thread to go to the members forum. (PS: I do not Skype with anybody but my family or real life friends)

I have Skype. I've found it to be extremely convenient in catching up with people - especially since if I were to call one of my "best" [word in quotes because I don't believe in "best" friends, but he does] friends on the phone, his reception would be so bad I couldn't hear him. That being said, I have not used the telephony bit of Skype in a while, but it's quite useful.

I'd also add that I am barely on compared to how often I used to be. It seems that every time I get on, someone or another immediately starts a conversation - usually one of the same four people. I don't want to be tied to Skype twelve hours a day - I know for a fact that is what would happen if I left it on for more than an hour a day.

I have it, but I'm never on it unless I decide with a contact on msn to use our webcams. MSN camming doesn't seem to be as good.
