Going down to the beach when it's amost deserted and walking, fishing. I don'r care if I catch one or not, it's just very calming to me.

based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation,
so that belief can be preserved.

homeopathy works, then,
I will change my mind,
I will spin on a f*****g dime.
I'll be embarrassed as hell,
but I will run through the streets yelling:

It's a Miracle!
Take physics and bin it!
Water has memory!
And whilst it's memory
of a long lost drop
of onion juice seems infinite,
it somehow forgets
all the poo it's had in it.

You show me that it works,
and how it works,
and when I've recovered
from the shock,
I will take a compass
and carve 'fancy that'
on the side of my cock.

That it only counters lame arguments as well as utilizes a false dichotomy. The issues are far more complicated than "religion versus science", which in essence is merely marketing anyhow. Scientists who are also Christians tend to view things more along the lines of "you can't get something from nothing", which is why there are laws such as the conservation of mass/energy, Kirchoff's Laws, et cetera. This is related to the cosmological argument for the existence of a deity. The teleological arguments, which have existed and been refined since the days of Plato and Cicero, deal with aspects of design in nature and conclude that a designer is implied.

The reason for this, is because I find it infinitely frustrating that it's possible for people to believe in some imaginary idea - and even suggest that "be open, that particular imaginative idea could be real".
