Well, which of the two stickers was the winning one? First or second? The story doesn't say. I'm guessing the first, the one he threw away?

Yes they tell us we need two matching stickers to win. But that's now how it works, or there would be many many winners.

Thousands of one sticker are printed. But only one copy of the other sticker is printed. That makes it so there's only one winner.

I'd keep the ticket, take it to a lotto centre and get it checked. After all, my best friend, is money in my pocket. 8)
