www.bookswim.com

Apparently my sister got my mother a membership on here for Mother's Day, so I decided to check it out. I think I might sign up after I get paid this week. $23.95 a month seems a bit steep, but it's for 3 books out at a time. Either that or $9.95/month for 1 book and $3.95 outgoing shipping per book. Not a bad selection either.

Edit: And feel free to move this wherever appropiate. Wasn't sure which section to post it in.

if they had nobody but slooooooooowww readers like me, they would make a mint. as it is, it wouldn't work for me 'cause i'm just too slow a reader, it takes me forever and a day to finish a book.

i had another thought, maybe this would work better if they were "condensed" books [reader's digest-style] rather than full-sized tomes. or maybe cliffnotes.

A library you have to pay for? But why? Public libraries have large selections and charge nothing.

There was a place in town that rented audio books like a video store but it went out of business before I ever got around to checking it out. I thought it was a good idea though.
