Most of what I have read suggests that autistic people tend to be primarily Visual-Spatial learners. I've been quite sure for a number of years (dating back to before my self-diagnosis) that I am primarily an auditory-sequential learner, though I have strong visual abilities as well. I found a nifty test today that measures learning style along 7 different axes. My test results matched the expectation that I'd be primarily auditory. You can find that test here: http://www.learning-styles-online.com/

I'm interested in peoples' responses for a couple reasons. One is that I am at present undiagnosed and seeking evaluation. Some professionals have expressed skepticism, and I think that it's my ability to use expressive spoken language that makes them see me as NT. For my own benefit in terms of figuring out what kind of human I am, I'd like to find out if there are other auditory aspies out there, especially those with an official diagnosis.

I am also very interested in going into academic research on human evolution, neurodiversity, and autism. Learning styles seem to be largely looked at independently from autism and other learning disabilities, though there are some strong connections. Dyslexic people tend to be highly visual, for example. I wonder if the suggested trend towards visual-spatial learning among autistics holds true, and I also wonder if there's any utility in sorting aspies into different typologies based on learning style.

I am primarily a Visual-Spatial learner, however; I'm very slightly kinesthetic, depending on what I am learning. I'm in the process of getting a diagnosis - I was recently informally diagnosed with AS.

I'm an auditory, sequential learner. I listen to a lot of music, and I've learned to play the drums in 7 months, without lessons. I've also been diagnosed with HFA, twice.

On that test you linked to, my results were:

Aural

Verbal

Solitary

I don't know what the 15 in solitary means other than I learn best by myself, but Aural came up second with 9. Music is my thing and I've taught myself to play a few instruments. I also write music.

I don't have an official diagnosis, though.

I've always thought of myself as a visual leaner, or kinesthetic for some things. But according to that test I'm mostly auditory, twice as much as visual. Strange.

According to the quiz, I'm mostly a solitary learner. But it's actually hard for me to teach myself things. I need to both see, hear & touch, if possible, what I'm being taught in order for me to understand it properly.

I'm a hands-on learner. Experiment until it works. Read the manual only if I get stuck.

Visual-spatial vs auditory vs words I've read pronounced in my head... I really can't say. All of the above, depending on the circumstance?

This is what the test came up with for me. I have to agree that I'm more verbal and solitary in learning style than otherwise.

Surprised at how high my "social" was. Otherwise though, results seem logical (no pun intended).

I love music, so it gives me extra Aural/Verbal points :D
I like to swing and sing while learning. Sometimes I'm excited and I dance, if I can call these clumsy motions dancing :D

Edit: Ooooooch, can you see this pretty (almost) Loga-spiral in my graph?

I dont have time to do the test but I took a quick one recently which told me I was an auditory learner, then that style is followed by Visual. Kinesthetically i am pretty much a dunce  I cannot express how much I loathe working with my hands.
