Hi my dear friends. :P

I'm writing an essay about Grand Canyon, and I would like to hear from people who have been there how it's like.
If you have been to Grand Canyon, I would be very happy if you answered these questions/tasks.

1. When were you there?
2. Describe the nature and what you think about it.
3. What will you never forget from the whole experience?
4. Did you see any animals? If so, what animals?
5. How was the wheather and the temperature like when you were there?
6. Do you regret your trip to Grand Canyon?
7. Were you scared when being there?
8. Do you want to go to Grand Canyon again?
9. What did you do in Grand Canyon?
10. Would you like to live in the Grand Canyon? Give cause for your answer.

Thanking you in advance.

I've been there before. :)

1. When were you there?

I visited it with family in the summer of 2007.

2. Describe the nature and what you think about it.

Hmm? It was rather warm, dry, and lots of drab colors like reds, browns and oranges. Some deserts shrubs here and there... and the Canyon Village buildings. I'm not sure if that was the answer you wanted?

3. What will you never forget from the whole experience?

That I calculated the distance from the south rim Canyon Village to the North Rim outpost that I cold barely see was about the same distance from the Skyline Drive overlooks in Shenandoah National Park to the peaks of Massanutten Mountain visible from the park and all the valley space in between with cities and farms that is visible would be swallowed up by the canyon.
I know it's an irrelevant factoid but it comes to mind when I think about the canyon or go to Shenandoah. It just reminds of how big the canyon is without actually going back to it.
Other than that, it was an overwhelming(but enjoyable) experience being at the canyon especially when you can see helicopters flying around way down below in canyon and they are so tiny from the rim.

4. Did you see any animals? If so, what animals?

I recall the squirrels. They were somewhat unusually unafraid of people. There were some large birds I saw in the canyon but I couldn't identify them as they were too far away.

5. How was the wheather and the temperature like when you were there?

It was midday and very warm. Not blazing hot, just really warm and dry. It was a mostly clear sunny day.

6. Do you regret your trip to Grand Canyon?

No.

7. Were you scared when being there?

Not really. But some caution is exercised when getting close to the wall-less parts of the rim edge. That, and keep hydrated.

8. Do you want to go to Grand Canyon again?

Yes. There is still more to see there than what the short time I had there offered.

9. What did you do in Grand Canyon?

Took a train up to it from Williams AZ. I walked around the canyon village some and to the park headquarters and took in the sights. I walked part of the way down into the canyon on the trail. It's a very long trail and most visitors don't go that far on it since it's such a stressful hike(and most aren't there to stay overnight anyway). I only had about three hours there and after that I took the train back to Williams.
It usually takes backpackers about three days to traverse the canyon from the south to north rims.

10. Would you like to live in the Grand Canyon? Give cause for your answer.

Live in it? No. It gets very hot down in the canyon. Air doesn't circulate well down in the canyon so its gets very hot in there compared to the rim. It might be kind of nice to live on the rim somewhere but I'd worry about resources. It is a desert area after all.
It snows there too in the wintertime which would be neat to see.

1. When were you there?

1996

2. Describe the nature and what you think about it.

It was huge and rocks and it had a river at the bottom

3. What will you never forget from the whole experience?

How huge it was and the river was so far down, you couldn't see the rapids.

4. Did you see any animals? If so, what animals?

No
5. How was the wheather and the temperature like when you were there?

Sunny and hot.

6. Do you regret your trip to Grand Canyon?

No

7. Were you scared when being there?

No

8. Do you want to go to Grand Canyon again?

No

9. What did you do in Grand Canyon?

We stood on the thing that goes over the cliff so everyone has a better look at it and I looked at the whole thing from there and looked in one of these hide binoculars where you have to put in a quarter to see the canyon close up and I saw the rapids.

10. Would you like to live in the Grand Canyon? Give cause for your answer.

No.

I have never been there so I cannot answer your query, but maybe this will give you a feel for the place.
