"The Thrill Is Gone" by BB King is usually the first song that comes to mind when I think of my favorite guitar solos.

Rage Against the Machine - Take the Power Back

That's what comes up right now.

Wow, that is an awesome list!

I don't know the Frusciante song and can't recall the RATM solo but the other 4 are filthy. Cherub Rock and Watchtower are two big ones from early teens that are still on the level to this day, and I Could Have Lied is undoubtedly one of my favorites of all times.

You have some good taste sir.

'Maggot Brain' by Funkadelic kind of blew me away (as they say) when I first heard it, although it's a bit painful on the ears in places.
I also really like the guitar solo in 'Mr Crowley' by Ozzy Osborne.

The solo in Midge Ure's "Dear God" It's probably the only one I can actually play. The one in Pictures of You is also pretty good.

The solo in Frida's I know there's something going on is one of my favorites as well. It reminds me of being in a boat while a hurricane approaches, I don't know why, maybe because it's ominous.
