If someone said to me, "Get your finger out!" I would think, "Get which finger out of where? None of my fingers are in anything.."

Thanks Katzefrau, and to the others who addressed my question.

When I was lost in my own hermitic (or is that hermetic? ) world, I also naturally found myself adopting a 25 hour day. It's funny. I still have an urge to go to bed and wake up an hour later each day.

The first time I heard "have a nice one" it annoyed me. Reminds me of newspeak from 1984. Why can't people finish sentences?

It's a bit mean really. Only one? Can't I have a nice two, three, or several billion? Come on it's only a word, you can afford to be generous.

Unfortionately, I assume that will be transcribed somewhere, as the Nazi's were quite methodiological about keeping the books matching...

You're right. All is on the paper.

If this topic, I repeat my question:
Reinhard Heydrich was feminised. I'm interested how much and what about his hormonal level.
He had kids, so he couldn't be intersex... but his hormons weren't typical.

I have read somewhere that he had this feminine air about him, but not much more than that, sorry.
Do you mean natural hormone unbalancement or did he change it himself? Just curious.

Natural imbalance. I'm interested about details, which hormon and how much - and probably I'll never know it, because he hadn't been tested.
He was male enough to have children, but looked feminine. His hips were wide. His voice was high.

They've been around a while. The allocations are remarkably constant across Eurasian languages. In English:

Monday - the Moon.
Tuesday - Tiw, Tir, fighting, justice, that sort of stuff, the one who gets his hand et off by ol' Fenrisulfr.
Wednesday - Woden, Wotan, Odin, hung on a tree as a sacrifice himself to himself (bit like JC ^^), slaughter, everyone's favourite ravens.
Thursday - Thunor, Thor, everyone's favourite hammer, goats, serpent wrestling.
Friday - Frigg or Freya or both, natty necklaces, prophecy, that sort of stuff.
Saturday - Saturn, who let that Roman guy in? Old age IIRC, he's pretty boring.
Sunday - the Sun.

In French :
Lundi = Monday ; same meaning.
Mardi = Tuesday ; means "day of Mars".
Mercredi = Wednesday ; means "day of Mercury".
Jeudi = Thursday ; means "day of Jupiter".
Vendredi = Friday ; means "day of Venus".
Samedi = Satursday ; means "day of Shabbat".
Dimanche = Sunday ; means "day of the Lord" (from "Dominus" in Latin).

Sure! More properly, its said to be a fluid.

There is an urban myth that window panes thicken slowly at the bottom, but this is not true as was presumed. Rather, old glass sheets were simply imprecise in thickness. The earlier reference to The Pitch Drop Experiment shows that even something vastly more fluidic moves incredibly slowly. An 8th inch glass pane would not noticibly thicken over the 100 years or so that they have been mass produced.

Thanks for loving the thread!

gee, i thought i was the only one. i find that i have lost track of time and i never know what day it is, so i will ask the odd clerk or cashier or whomever i meet on my errands, and they will in turn ask me something along the lines of "are you retired or something?"
