Have you ever wondered what English woud look like if we at least standardised ðe way we rote down the consonants into an orþografy ðæt consisted of xarakters, ligacurs and digrafs that hæd at wone pœnt been a part of ðe En'glish lan'guaj and now are no longer? Shoud we revive ðem?

For eksample, in ðis ekserſise, we shall establish ðat the æsh and œþel be revived for ðis purpose. Ðe æsh pronounſed just like “ash” is in kurrent En'glish. All ðe oðer standard rules we kame up for vowels woud larjly stay the same with regards to difþongs, diæresis, streſsed, unstreſsed, long and short. All for simpliſity sake as ðey have larjly been held to be konsistent.

What about vowels?
Do you dream of coming back to Old Germanic? :D

My little request: could you write what each sound equals?

I prefer ðat we do not use fonetiks for the alfabet as ðat woud be a bit too diffikult to memorise. Instead, we woud only use xarakters ðat had been at one time or anoðer been in ðe Eng'lish lan'guaj, so ðat ðey woud be at least be familiar to us. Vowels woud, as I said before, remain jenerally ðe same bekause ðere are some dialekts and aksents that enunſiate ðe words just as ðey appear on paper. We kan't push too hard wiþ ðe spelling reforms.
