I missed the pre-order for the iPhone 4. Bummer.
So my only option is to wait in line at an Apple store? From what I gather I might have a better chance going to the AT&T store (they have fewer phones but shorter lines --correct?). Also, Radioshack will offer a $100 store credit (which can be applied to the new iPhone 4). Would it be better to just sell my 3G on eBay for $200+ (it doesn't have a cracked screen or water damage).

Finally, will I lose the unlimited data when I get the new phone?

Thanks.

If I were you, I'd sell the 3G. I'm selling my 3GS to get a 4 soon. You'll get more than you will trading it into the shop.

No idea about the data or specific US stores because I'm in the UK, but it seems logical that Apple Stores will have longer lines.
