How you get a rude and a-reckless?
Don't you be so crude and a feckless
You been drinking brew for breakfast
Rudie can't fail, no, nooo
:D

Me and My Imaginary Friend - Colin Hay

You never sleep, and you never go home
My secrets you keep, and I'm never alone
We're joined at the hip, and this I comprehend
We'll be together until the end
Me and my imaginary friend

You never tell me what I have to do
We can sit in silence, or visit the zoo
We know what is real, and what is pretend
Together till the bitter end
Me and my imaginary friend

You don't have to pay an arm and a leg
You can conjure 'em up inside your own head
Short and tall, fat and thin
Open the door, invite them in
"Hello! How are ya? How ya been?"

So now you have someone, someone to love
A gift from yourself, a gift from above
If you're dining alone, get a table for two
We can talk our faces blue, 'bout all the things that we've been through
Together forever, till the credits end
Me and my imaginary friend

Me and my imaginary friend

I don't have one tha fits me that I can name off the op of my head, so I picked one of my favorite songs ever. There are actually two different versions. The live one is slightly different and better(see below.)

Lyrics(they're in Vietnamese. I used to be able to sing this song by heart)

I'm doing my best to adapt it to English and while translating vietnamese into french and then into English works well, it still sounds weird. I'll put the literal meaning, but I cannot translate figures of speech.

Flickers at night
Filling my eyes
silvery hair soaked in May dew.

Open up to the past,
dream old dreams
a poem for those no longer young

note-Actually, I can't go longer. Beyond the first two stanzas, it's just a bubch of figures of speech.

Movement
every road stretches for a million miles
Come on
circular motion takes it straight to the point
I wanna know
if the tensions drops would I love you still the same?
Tell me
got your heart on your sleeve and the world at your feet

Freedom is the way I live
Freedom is the way I move
Movement is the breath I breathe
Movement is the blood I bleed

Movement
until the sun comes up feeling tired and free
Come on
my mind's been on this for a thousand years
I wanna know
when we get to the end can we do it all again?
Keep on
as far as the road goes I'll go the road

Freedom is the way I live
Freedom is the way I move
Movement is the breath I breathe
Movement is the blood I bleed

Your heart was crying on your sleeve
The world was standing on your feet
And freedom left, it wouldn't stay
But now we move a different way
Now we move a different way

So hard to choose just one. I guess I'll say What A Shame by Shinedown. Mainly because it's one of the few songs that isn't about relationships that can make me cry.

"What A Shame"

Two packs of cigarettes a day
The strongest whiskey
Kentucky can make
That's a recipe to put a vagabond
On his hands and knees
I watched it all up close,
I knew him more than most
I saw a side of him he never showed
Full of sympathy for a world that
Wouldn't let him be

That's the man he was,
Have you heard enough?

[Chorus]
What a shame, what a shame,
To judge a life that you can't change
The choir sings, the church bells ring
So, won't you give this man his wings?
What a shame to have to beg you to
See we're not all the same
What a shame

There's a hard life for every silver spoon
There's a touch of grey for every shade
Of blue
That's the way that I see life
If there was nothing wrong,
Then there'd be nothing right
And for this working man they say could
Barely stand
There's gotta be a better place to land
Some kind of remedy for a world that
Wouldn't let him be

That's the man he was,
Have you heard enough?

[Chorus]
What a shame, what a shame,
To judge a life that you can't change
The choir sings, the church bells ring
So, won't you give this man his wings?
What a shame to have to beg you to
See we're not all the same
What a shame

God forgive the hands that laid you down
They never knew how much a broken heart can break the sound and change the season
Now the leaves are falling faster,
Happily ever after
You gave me hope through your endeavors
And now you will live forever

[Chorus]
What a shame, what a shame,
To judge a life that you can't change
The choir sings, the church bells ring
So, won't you give this man his wings?
What a shame to have to beg you to
See we're not all the same
What a shame, what a shame
'Cause we're not all the same
What a shame, what a shame
'Cause we're not all the same

It's all about me and how I'm absorbed in my own feelings.

there is this old woman
she lives down the road
you can often find her
kneeling inside of her hole
and i often ask her
"are you looking for the mother lode?"
huh?
no.
no my child, this is not my desire
and then she said

i'm digging for fire [4x]

there is this old man
who spent so much of his life sleeping
that he is able to keep awake for the rest of his years
he resides
on a beach
in a town
where i am going to live
and i often ask him
"are you looking for the mother lode?"
huh?
no.
no my child, this is not my desire
and then he said

i'm digging for fire [4x]

I'll get the landings right soon, but those pesky crosswinds make it difficult. I may be an earth-bound misfit, but I'm determined to try

Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a windswept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction is holding me fast,
How can I escape this irresistible grasp?

Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I

Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings, I thought, I thought of everything
No navigator to find my way home
Unladened, empty and turned to stone
A soul in tension -- that's learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try

Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air,
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night

There's no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss

Can't keep my mind from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

Where has that old friend gone
Lost in a February song
Tell him it won't be long
Til he opens his eyes, opens his eyes

Where is that simple day
Before colours broke into shades
And how did I ever fade
Into this life, into this life

And I never want to let you down
Forgive me if I slip away
When all that I've known is lost and found
I promise you I, I'll come back to you one day

Morning is waking up
And sometimes it's more than just enough
When all that you need to love
Is in front of your eyes
It's in front of your eyes

And I never want to let you down
Forgive me if I slip away
Sometimes it's hard to find the ground
Cause I keep on falling as I try to get away
From this crazy world

And I never want to let you down
Forgive me if I slip away
When all that I've known is lost and found
I promise you I, I'll come back to you one day

Where has that old friend gone
Lost in a February song
Tell him it won't be long
Til he opens his eyes
Opens his eyes
