Or even those which aren't funny but just cute or presenting your favorite celebrities, movie scenes etc.

Do you collect them? Recently I got sucked into them. I bought two from a market stall: a Star Wars one and a Michael Jackson one (like this one http://www.shoprockamerica.com/image.php?productid=5067). I own also a button advertising the European Parliament election in 2009 which I got as a freebie. I decided I'd buy all those which would have funny slogans or famous movie scenes (the ones I like) on.

I've never thought about collecting buttons before. But that sounds like a great idea now that you've mentioned it. I might start my own collection someday. :)

I like the one, in the underwear topic, that was posted earlier on, today. "I'm wearing Smarty Pants."

As a child, I had many children's brooches, not buttons - a rooster, a leather heart with a golden "A" letter on and many others. At some point I kept them attached to a straw mat above my bed.

I was thinking of those buttons as well. I like collecting clothes buttons better :)

I have one that says "Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?" I also have one that says "Let's get one thing straight. I'm not." They're both stuck on the foot of one of my large teddy bears. The other foot has a button that says "Serenity", which isn't a funny button but it's really pretty, the nicest button I've ever seen.

I used to have a bunch more buttons but I don't know where they are now.
