does anyone else go through phases. I'm in a good space today and wish I could always feel this way. Things are not perfect but today I'm ok with it. I'd like to know why I feel good today so that I can feel this way more often but I can't think of any particular reason. Most of the time I feel overwelmed by my surrounings and I'm often very irritable and I fly off the handle over the stupidest of things.

anyway, life is good today and I'm enjoying it. More days like this would be wonderful!

Certainly I go through phases as you describe - and the smallest thing can make a good day bad. It much harder though for something to happen to make a bad day good. It is a reason why I run and hide from the world, if I avoid people and things I am not going to have a good or even tolerable day ruined.

I can relate abt avoiding people. Humans often ruin my day.

Nelle, I can completely relate to this. My moods often don't relate to what's going on in my life. I can be incredibly stressed about something (which causes me to want to withdraw, feel irritable, and perseverate on whatever has gone wrong and how it could potentially get worse) and then wake up the next day and feel fine and able to cope, even though circumstances haven't changed. This bothers me because it almost seems to cycle and I feel as though I have little control over it (and, it drives my husband crazy! lol..)

Sometimes my moods change so much, I feel like "Sybil."

Some days I wake up and life seems ok, but otherdays it seems hopeless and I just want to die. Like you, I can't find any reasons for it in my life, but I know it's due to my mood disorder even though somedays it feels like it's all my fault.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My moods change a lot. Some days I wake up feeling motivated and energized, other days I feel depressed and pessimistic. Having a routine keeps my moods a bit more stable, but it's summer vacation now so I'm mood-swinging all over the place.

I go through phases with my interests. Little House books, dolls, Disney, gotta leave so I can't add to the list, but some (like cats!) are constant :)

Some hours I'm hyper, some hours I can barely be moved. I think I might be bipolar.
