I heard a lot of people talk about this movie as if it was the best thing since sliced bread. If a movie can have a huge cult following like it did, I'm sure it had to be good. I saw it myself and I was actually pretty amazed how damn good it was. Crazy, but good.

This is one of my favorite movies. Though I have to admit that the only reason I watch it is for the character of Marla Singer (I just skip around to her scenes), since I have an enormous crush on Helena Bonham Carter and seeing her play that type of character makes me inexplicably happy.

On a semi-related note, it annoys me to no end that pretty much everyone I have seen on the Internet gets the tumor quote wrong. It's "If I did have a tumor, I'd name it Marla", not "If I had a tumor, I'd name it Marla". Grr....

I have the DVD and eventually I bought the book. I'd really recommend the novel.
