I have no Aspie female friends, only NT's. Would any Aspie women in the Philadelphia area, Bucks or Montgomery county, be interested in meeting up occasionally? Perhaps local restaurants, like Applebee's or Olive Garden, have dinner and moan about our problems? :D

Just think how many topics and questions we could cover in a couple hours over drinks. :) Kids, work, husbands, NT's, NT-husbands...etc.

I'm 53, married to an NT guy, I am a full time scientist, Aspie, and have 1 grown son. I've been dealing with these "problems" all my life, just thought they were problems with me. I ahve an Aspie sister but she lives in another state. Other women who have the same issues would be a god send!

I'm just a regular person really. We can meet outside in the parking lot, this time of year it's still light. In case anyone thinks this is scary or something. But I don't see how else to meet other Aspie women? It's not like one can go around asking people, "Are you an Aspie?"

Have you ever been to any of the Greater Philadelphia GRASP meetings? We meet in suburban Philadelphia (Berwyn) and have a meeting this Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. I'd say a little less than half our membership is female. You can PM me for more info or visit grasp.org.

Hmmm....perhaps? Berwyn is over an hour from me, but it would be okay once to meet people. I'm not really looking for "help" per say. More like chat - only Aspie oriented.

What I am hoping for is a small group of women getting together, say once every month or two, at different locations. We could try to meet near each persons home in turn, so no one had to drive an hour every time. Just a casual fun night, as opposed to a formal meeting.

And dinner. Dinner is important!

I figured it was worth a shot asking!

But thanks for letting me know about your group. I might drop in some time.

Ok! I guess not. Not anyone near my age? Or not anyone near Philadelphia?

Anyway, at least Warehouse and Eureka are airing new episodes right now.

:D

We need an Aspie pinochle group!

I'm new in this forum and in Philly too. I'd love to meet Aspie women, I don't have much friends in Philly.
