I will say that there is not a single person where we live or where we go that doesn't compliment us on our child's manners...being autistic makes him different, it does NOT however give him a green light to not be polite. Sadly, what I have found, as this lady has found is that this is NOT an autism issue, but a KIDS issue...I see kids every single day where we live with absolutely no manners...the adults on the other hand love our kiddo and allow him to go into their apartments to play with their pets because he is so amazingly polite...anyway, I thought some of you might be interested in this for your kids...

Yep, thats what my parents and grandparents/great-grandparents stressed upon me when I was younger. Raised towards cultural sophistication and whatnot. Ive regressed once I hit the late teens and just started becoming a complete as*hole to certain types of people. I do however retain some of what I learned, and practice it. The whole female/male equality, special ways in which to respect women, holding doors open for people in general if they are right by ya and whatnot.
