Atheists, riddle me this: if God doesn't exist, then how come he has a name?

Yeah. Thought so.

Then how is there a bible if God doesn't exist? Harry Potter has no book. Yeah, I thought so.

It's not the word of Harry Potter. It's the word of J.K Rowling or whatever.

Duh.

God undeniably exists as a theoretical construct. Whether that construct mirrors reality is the important question.

Who says that the Bible is the word of God? Not only that, but most Biblical scholars know that the Bible had multiple different authors/sources, and even conservative Christians admit that God used the writing styles of those he could use.

god is a synonym for lie. So its a very useful grammatical construct, and I aint godding.

If Big Foot doesn't exist, then how come they have a name?

There's plenty mythical creatures and beings that have names. Eris is the goddess of chaos but just because they're named doesn't mean they exist.

Edit: also, the concept of a higher being existed long before Judaism (which then was stolen by the Christians) and they had their gods. They all had different names, too.

Hey! Take it easy, When you're 15 you still have to sort a few things out. Naming something sounds like it might exist so some people think it does. It's a common mistake.all the gods have names and some of them have books.

Challenge here from the recalcitrant agnostic: proof of a supreme being's nonexistence is no more forthcoming than proof of its existence. How can you be so sure?
