By looking at the trailers, reading about it and being on the website. this looks like Disney's way of trying to get money on re-making an old movie that they are killing.

It could go either way. Lots of the original people are involved...

Also, it's helped by the fact that the original Tron was pretty pulp-y and had a very basic plot. The only things that distinguished it were the revolutionary special effects and the emphasis on the emerging medium of computing. All Tron Legacy really has to do to live up to its predecessor is to have fantastic special effects (which it looks like it does), and a passable plot and script.

I do like that Daft Punk are doing the score. It's rather apropos.

I think the plot has been done to death and I am not talking the being sucked into the digital world. But I plan to see it.
