Anyone know any good bands? I find myself listening to a lot of Puddle of Mudd, Metalica and Foo fighters. Just put down the band and your favorite song.

Def Leppard, original Van Halen, Kings of Leon, Sublime; since I'm technologically/financially/stylistically(?) crippled, I listen to radio exclusively.

That is a really loaded question. There's so many different types of rock... I'd suggest a song of each rock genre to get a feel for what you like best. "Good" rock music that I might enjoy may not work for some people - some of it would be too soft for others, some of it would be too heavy.

So um... here's a few good songs I like. lol

Space Rock
Pink Floyd - Us And Them

Funk Rock
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop

Blues Rock
B. B. King - The Thrill Is Gone

Heavy Metal
Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Punk Rock
Dead Kennedys - California Über Alles

Progressive Rock
Rush - YYZ

Classic Rock
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven

Instrumental/Guitar Rock
Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien

Grunge
Nirvana - Lithium

Jazz Rock
Weather Report - Birdland

Hopefully something turns out to be "Good rock music"! :D

By the way, someone please tell me if this post is too long and needs to be edited... I'm not sure if this many videos goes against the rules or something... >.>

Not surprisingly, I really enjoy The Citizen Vein, which was a grunge-metal band fronted by Adam Lambert before he got famous. My favorite song of theirs is "Beyond the Sky," which is about how religion can be too restrictive and sometimes leads to violence.

.The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are good; I like "False Pretense," "Misery Loves Its Company" and of course "Face Down" (I'm not going to link that here because almost everyone has heard it), and I almost cried when I heard "Godspeed" (a really sweet song about a soldier in the Vietnam War and the remorse he feels after killing someone).

I also recommend Black Veil brides (metal band from Ohio, my home state!), Green Day (legendary) and Jimmy Eat World (Jim Adkins's voice is almost as pretty as Adam Lambert's, and their lyrics are really good too).

I very highly recommend Dream Theater. They are great!

This is a medley. They did covers of a few songs and put them together.

I second Dream Theater; If you like Metallica and wouldn't mind different (I would say 'better', but that's up to preference) vocals, you have to give them a try.

Poster, do you listen to Metallica's mid-90's music, their Load and Reload CD's. It's their best. I like Hero of the Day and The Unforgiven II. I like all of their music, though.

Even though your post wasn't directed at me, I'd just like to say that your post is a breath of fresh air. Finally someone who isn't biased about Metallica's later stuff. The Unforgiven II is better than the first, in my opinion.
