Do corpses register as a "someone" or a "something" in your brain?

Also, how do you feel about thunderstorms?

It depends how long they've been dead, and therefore how corpsified they are. If they've only just died, they're probably still "someone" to me. Once they're a desiccated corpse, they're more like a thing.

Also, I love thunderstorms. Provided I have access to shelter if I want it, and provided they don't flood my house or take out the power.

Thanks, KaiG.

I'd have said corpses are a something, but then when I had to wrap one in plastic for transport to the morgue, it felt wrong covering the face, which suggests I was only kidding myself, and it's still registering as someone.

I don't know what I'd consider a corpse to be. I guess I'd consider it to be "someone's" corpse.

Also, I like thunderstorms, as long as I'm not out in them.

Don't tell me! I can guess what you're planning...

Tying a corpse to a lightning conductor to see if you can reanimate it like Frankenstein!

I think about my late aunt, when I think about corpses, and I love thunderstorms.

The corpse of someone I know is "someone".
The corpse of someone I don't know is "something".

As for thunderstorms,...my garden needs a good soaking.

Corpses are objects.

Thunderstorms are beautiful.

When I was younger I did work for the Chavurah Kadesh, the Jewish Burial Society. We prepare the body of deceased folk for burial (usually within 24 hours, except on Sabbath). There is no embalming or any make up. We wash the bodies and wrap them in shrouds and place them in a bio-degradable coffin (just wood, no metal).

I knew many of the deceased personally while they lived so I could never think of them as "something". It was always "someone", someone who was.

Corpses are "someones" to me.

Thunderstorms are pretty cool. I'm a little disappointed that my home's insulation is so good, because it makes it difficult to hear thunder and rain.

Corpses are relics, they can remind you of the person, but once dead they exist only as memories.
Thunderstorms are chaotic weather events. Some create cool effects, like purple flashes, some it's better to stay inside and hear the rain.

They give me a natural high, just the raw beauty.
