Do corpses register as a "someone" or a "something" in your brain?
Also, how do you feel about thunderstorms?
When I was younger I did work for the Chavurah Kadesh, the Jewish Burial Society. We prepare the body of deceased folk for burial (usually within 24 hours, except on Sabbath). There is no embalming or any make up. We wash the bodies and wrap them in shrouds and place them in a bio-degradable coffin (just wood, no metal).
I knew many of the deceased personally while they lived so I could never think of them as "something". It was always "someone", someone who was.
