As a kid I thought it was extremely difficult to understand Who Framed Roger Rabbit . It was about a mad guy who killed someone because he wanted to build a super-highway system. :?

The movie was amusing because it actually dealt with the way the Pacific Electric (Railway) System was trashed after WW2. L.A. used to have a functioning rapid transit system (the high speed red railway trains) which trashed and replaced by a subway system that cost over a billion dollars a mile to build and run.

When I was about six or seven years old I watched the movie Midnight Express on HBO (for some reason the babysitter let me watch it).

I remember how described this movie to my friends at school as "this movie about a guy who gets beaten up by the police through the whole movie."
