I have my theory, but I'd rather keep it to myself for now.

I'm guessing this isn't supposed to be answered the literal rainbow-coloured due to normal colour-vision.

I cannot tell you what the "world" is.

You have to see it for yourself.

Tunnel vision drilled out by a one track mind.

There is no light at the end, only soft squishy pink things, ultimate power, and exotic sandwiches. The steady glow of the ancient drill is the only source of illumination or guidance that could ever be required.

I'm covering up for my inability to understand any of the other replies, by also being needlessly cryptic myself. Oh yeah. 8)

shades of gray.

Many think that having autism = thinking in black and white. I'm an odd case, once again - I can't think in black in white. Heck, I can never make up my mind, I'm indecisive as can be and on pretty much every debated topic, I'm in the middle or "unsure".

I think the only exception is religion; that said, it sounds like I'd be agnostic, but I'm Christian, because every once in a while something happens that I can be sure about.

OR...

is that what the topic's even about? the poll confuses meh...

I tend to think in black and white when it comes to certain issues. When someone does something underhanded or hurtful, then I immediately come to the conclusion that he/she is a bad person, and I am unlikely to become dissuaded from that point of view. I think that's somewhat childish of me, and it's caused me trouble and ended friendships -- not just with the offending person but with other people who weren't outraged by his/her dastardly actions. I think I ought to try to change that black-and-white perspective, but I find that I am unable to -- and deep down I don't really want to, because I think I'm right. :?

The world is a spectrum of various issues. That doesn't mean that there aren't dark shades of colours or light shades of colours (if we are referring to objective morality, which I suppose there is to some extent). I think the world's problems have many factors that we simply cannot fathom through simply seeing them as black and white issues or even as shades of grey. In my nation, for instance, our government wants to cut down on our spending, but it's deciding where those cuts should be slashed is a huge problem. The most in need of the tax paid services (such as incapacity benefits) will suffer (if they aren't already suffering) as a consequence. The government wants to bully people into work, but the problem of getting people jobs is bigger than they realise. Some people are simply not able to work for whatever reason, such as the fact that there may not be jobs around for some people or that the jobs that are going around require certain qualifications. Some people have no experience so the ones that do will get the job because employers will only choose the ones they can exploit the most. Some people are disabled/ill/etc or are illiterate due to bad schooling (or lack of schooling). These are just a few of the problems that people have ignored and simply thought of as laziness (those bastards) because (ikronically) they're too lazy to think of the other possibilities.

The point is that I am aware that the world is far more complicated than I'd like it to be.

There can be simply black and white, but I find that more often the world is in shades of grey.

I'm suffering pain because you haven't defined the rules of the poll.

Are you asking about the visual appearance of the world.
Are you asking about the mental appearance (pseudovisual) of the world.
Are you asking about obstacles or questions encountered while living in the world.
Are you talking about ? something I haven't specified here?

Morality is what I believe the OP is getting at.

I picked shades of grey. What's the difference between rainbow-colored and that?

These polls are quite vague at times.
