My father gave me a brief and awkward talk about sex when I was about 14. He didn't explain the mechanics or anything (a little late for that) but offered to buy me condoms and told me that masturbation was a good way to relieve stress. I thought it was hilarious. I told my mother that I objected to her decision to have me circumcised as a baby. She didn't seem uncomfortable with the topic but was very defensive about it.

My parents never talked to me about sex. Thats one of the reasons why I have made a mess of things in that department.

Didn't tell me anything, learned on my own, like many other things. Also conservative parents, they thought learning about it in health class was enough. They did say to not have it until I'm married, as "it'll be worth it" or something like that.

Needless to say... I dislike their views, but I don't really intend to have sex until I'm married. It's just not worth thinking about for me. I'm more interested in a relationship that won't end, than having sex with multiple partners over the course of years. I'm not asexual or have no sex drive, but I'm just not interested in that in the real world.

I'm still a virgin, but... I don't really care. If I'm really interested in sex, for some reason, there's pornography. Next to that, I really just don't care. Not worth my time. Besides, the drama it causes and inevitably, difficulties it'll cause (i.e., say a "mistake" happens and she's pregnant), it isn't really worth the risk for me. It's not so much an "honorable-to-God" reason (though I am a Christian), as much as a "doesn't matter" reason.

Nope..

I remember once when I was like 7 my dad called me and my brother in a room and said where babies come from. Sorta a kid friendly version. And then he told me to leave the room and told my brother the real stuff, since he was older. I'm 17 now and I never got the real talk. I had to figure it all out on my own.

Rather he told me or not, I don't really care. I just wanna know why my parents talked to my brother and sister about this crap and not me.

One time I've signed out a book from my school library, at the age of 7, that was titled 'Period'. I thought that the book was about learning to write sentences, and where to place periods. I also thought that the book was cool, because there was a green chalkboard, and green was my favourite colour. I also liked the big, red circle that was after the word, period. I showed my mum how cool that book was, and she told me to return it to the library, the very next day.

Nothing beyond something that can be summed as "it's okay as long as you're not gay." I think it's a school's job to teach about safe-sex just like any other health topic (unless they aren't in school.)

My mom is a gynecologist. I think that should sum it up pretty well.

"Don't live together before you're married."

Sage advice, mom. Didn't your wedding dress have an elastic waist? AHEM! But anyway, I got nothing. Nothing from school, either. Fortunately, I know how to read and like it.

When I was 4 and my mother was pregnant with my little sister, my parents told me exactly how "babies are made".My grandmother then gave me a presentation on it complete anatomy illustrations.

I think my siblings got books and videos. It was never a forbidden subject with my parents or my grandparents.

I partially figured it out from Wild Discovery. That, and my parents had no problems talking about sex to us.

The only thing mom really said was something along the lines of, "if you do it before marriage, you're a whore and I'll kick you out the house, pull you out of college and revoke all financial support."

Yes... four years after I had already studied it out of my mom's medical textbooks. Mom underestimated her curious and rather precocious (at least in the area of science) Aspie daughter.

I don't actually remember not knowing about sex and childbirth; but I do remember looking up the details at around age nine or ten, when I got curious about how babies developed. Later on I had quite a fascination with prenatal development, something that I'm still very interested in.

I always just sort of knew what it was... My mom talked to me about it though. She seemed to be feeling a lot more awkward than I did. After she explained what it was and stuff she gave me a book that has information on everything that's important to know as a growing girl. She says that if I have any questions I can come to her and she'll tell me the truth. She's held true to her word. Everything she hasn't told me I've learned on my own.

No and for good reason, having sex is the most vile and despicable act a person can ever make.

Oops I thought genocide was worse, my bad!

My parents more or less tried to avoid it, my mom told me when I was 10 or so that kissing made babies happen the same time she finally admitted that santa and the easter bunny weren't real. They found my porn binder when I was 12 and there was a little talk there. I also have to hear my dad rant about wearing a condom all the time and my mother? If I'm late home from going to see a movie or some s**t, she screams and yells about how I'm having sex and I've never been on a real date in my entire life and all I do is go out and sleep with everyone I meet. She honestly probably thinks I've slept with 2-3x more girls than I really have. It's kinda funny actually.

You can be forgiven for genocide, but you can't take away the stain of being defiled by a woman.
