Glass Half Empty or Half Full

The glass fell onto the floor, broke, and spilled water everywhere, but fortunately it just has a few cracks, which can be easily fixed with a little duct tape. It's not pretty and it leaks a little, but it still holds water.

Some say the glass is half empty, some say half full. I say, 'Are you not drinking that?'

My glass is more than overflowing, with joy and self love.

The glass has a leak in the bottom.

I would say the same thing but it's hard to talk while guzzling fluids. I may be viciously optimistic but I'm no ventriliquist.

Both half empty and half full. Anything else is a fundamental misunderstanding of the concept of 'half'.

Half full. The world may not be perfect, but it's not a complete s**thole either.

Neither am I. But I have usually already finished my fluids.

If a glass is filled half-way with water, whats in the other half? A vacuum?

No because that would require there to be no matter in that half.

I hope you're not too busy typing at me to have time left to prepare the next batch for consumption.

I depersonalize a lot, so I just think the glass isn't mine and whatever happens to it is none of my business.



I don't know, but I think the average person itself isn't exactly the happiest person on earth.

Unfortunately, I discovered very young that negativity and worry can speed up the brain's processes. I have poor executive function and in primary school i couldnt cross roads, remember to bring things to school, would forget to do homework, and would miss the bus or not know whether it had come or not.

I discovered that blind panic could speed my mind up and get it working to a normal level.

I also learned that, as a previous poster says, it is far better to anticipate bad events than to go around, blithely assuming that things are going to be good and then suddenly you are set upon by bullies... ....taken to the principal's office because you inadvertantly said something offensive, or are suddenly ditched by all your friends and dont know why.

The world I grew up in was an unpredictable place which I had no control over.. being worried constantly was essential for survival.

Now as an adult, I cant stop worrying. what would help was if the world was any easier a place to live in. But, it isnt. I still have no control over a lot of things in my life, including finances, work, social situations, and i barely have a grip on everyday tasks.
