After watching from the sideline for a while to get a taste for the atmosphere here on Wrongplanet I really missed the positive sides of autism as a factor here, so I hope we can talk about it here on this thread.

I'll start:
I am happy that I am able to enjoy small details that most seem to overlook.

Cheerfully,
Wallourdes

I have a very high resistance to loneliness.

I am irrational about an entirely different set of things from those NTs are irrational about. I may fall into all-new traps, but I avoid the usual ones!

I have a rich, inner world. If I choose too, I can hyper focus on a conversation several feet away.

Autism has given me the gifts of both art and music. I like to nurture those gifts. It's also given me the gift of patience and compashion.

I've never felt upset about being autistic. My problems were always do to the ignorance of other people.

This is the reason why i have been comming to wrongplanet a lot less. Its hard to seperate others experiences, problems and rants from yourself, the negativity really gets to me sometimes.

Anyway i think i am trully lucky to be affected by autism in the way i am, the good things about being an aspie really outweigh the negatives. (atleast for me).
Sure i spent most of my teenage life miserable and confused but once you get through that you actually value that time and the insights you can get from it.
