Are there certain words you like because they seem to have a pattern?

For me my favorites are:

good - to me this word seems right. Like they blend together, the little "o" with a tale is the g and the two little o's and then the "o" with an upper tail which is the d. This words seems to melt together and fit with each other like a pattern.

music - to me this word I like it because I like the way "m" and the "u" seem to flow to the next letter

wrong- I also like this word because like "music" the letter seem to flow right into each other

Are there certain letter combinations that you like?

For me I like the way "R" and "I" go together in a pattern:

I also like "J" and "R" together in a pattern:

jrjrjrjrjrjrjrjrjr

I also like "P" and "J" together in a pattern:

pjpjpjpjp

I like the word, Canada.

Banana is another word that I like.

I think my favorite word is "avidity" largely for this reason. The meaning's good, too, but I love the sound and feel of it. This is also what led me to learn Japanese; there are so many vowels, many words have a nice flow to them.

Most words are beautiful, I think. I love listening to poetry - and to music - to hear the rhythms the syllables and accents create. I know that most find "The Classics" to be horribly boring, but I could listen to a good voice (think Morgan Freeman) recite Shakespeare, Dante, Chaucer and the like for hours - the cadences just roll on majestically, and I find it nearly hypnotic. Music is the same way - the actual music is certainly important, but the words, ah the words! If they flow juuuuuuuuust right, I can forgive amateurish instrumentals. I think that is probably why I cannot stand rap. I've seen many rap lyrics which are quite artfully composed, and if read as "normal" poetry would be quite wonderful. As performed, however, it seems that the words are forced to conform to a certain beat by changing the accents, or by adding/removing syllables, and the natural cadence of the words themselves are lost. While I realize it is done to fit a particular artistic style - much as cubism distorted figures into nearly unrecognizable forms - to me it's a torturous butchering of the language, and I simply cannot abide it. Yes, I was a grammar nazi before that term was ever coined.

Well-arranged words take me to my happy place.

I really like words with dense clusters of consonants:

shrink
angst
stretched
spliced

The word "bed" looks like a bed.

Maybe I didn't phrase my question properly.

Onomatopoeia

I like words / phrases that are palindromes ("A man, a plan, a canal Pamana" for instance, though the fact that you have to put spaces and punctuation in bothers me... I'd rather write it "AMANAPLANACANALPANAMA"). I also like letters that flip on their own vertical axis perfectly (A, M, O, I, V, H, U, W, X, Y, T). Words made only out of these letters are cool, too. TAM, MAT, VAT, YAM, etc.

So it should reason that my favorite word in the entire world is "mom" because it adheres to both. In reality, that word doesn't do anything for me. I think I like the concepts in the abstract better than the words that embody those concepts.

A lot of poetic stanzas have a comforting pattern, and frankly, it sounds just as beauteous as any song.
