Tony Attwood's books should be in your library and they can be good resources.

Also, my library has the Oasis Guide to Asperger's which has some interesting things that I haven't seen in other sources, such as that people with asperger's have a tendency to be more negative than the general population, which I found interesting and have seen evidence in myself and others of that being the case.

And there is an anthology that is classic and shows up in most libraries called "Autism and Asperger's Syndrome" edited by Uta Frith. It's got some technical stuff but also some pretty accessible stuff and an interesting chapter about understanding autistic people through reading their autobiographical writing. It has some interesting stereotypes in that essay, not all of which I agree with.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll make note of them and see if our library has them :)
