Sensory-Appropriate Halloween Costume Ideas for Lazy Aspies?

1. Gypsy--super easy--bandana around head, loads of jewels, long skirt, button up shirt (loose), belt around waist (optional)

2. Ghost-- wear all white from head to toe

3. Could also be a renunciate/meditator in India or Thailand by wearing all white

4. Plant/bush-- wear all green with brown shoes for the soil

5. Ocean/river/lake-- wear all blue

5. Sky with clouds-- wear all blue with a white sweater/jacket/hoodie

6. Sun--all yellow

7. School marm-- glasses (if you don't wear them already, get a pair from a second hand store), button up all the way to the top button, a long skirt, and orthopedic looking shoes, and tie your hair in a bun, or slick back if short

Just buy a cheap costume from a local fancy dress shop or something and try it on first to make sure it's comfortable.

I'm assuming your Halloween party is today. Just wanted to send you a little positive energy to help you endure it and hopefully enjoy it.

It's Halloween dress-up day here at the school where I teach. I didn't dress in costume---and a lot of teachers (and students) didn't dress in costume either. I decided to be comfortable---normal attire for work.

I thought about staying home. And when I would be questioned why I wasn't at work, I would have answered, "I was at work, I came as the Invisible Man."
