I obsess all day long about fear.I am just too fearful to go outside and talk to people and make connections.

let your fingers do the walking in the yellow pages for mental health practitioners. dealing with anxiety doesn't have to mean a psychiatrist/psychologist all the time, a MSN social worker might be what you need. have you asked your gatekeeper doc about a referral or meds? just curious.

I have lots of problems with anxiety. First, I saw my general practitioner. Then later I found a psychologist who went back and became an APN, so he is the one that handles my medications. I also see a psychologist. Tried biofeedback, did not work for me.

I have had problems with anxiety all my life, but they became debilitating just before my son was born. I was sent to the hospital because of an anxiety attack. Now it is pretty well controlled with medication, but it always in the background.
