Do any of you have a favorite snowstorm?

I have a couple of them:

February 23-25, 1989: Smoked Cape Cod and the islands. Nantucket recorded a foot of snow. Boston and points west received nothing.

February 25, 1990: A wicked cool norlun event gave southeast Massachusetts up to 10".

My favourite snowstorm happened in Langley in the Christmas Eve Day of 2008.

Blizzard of 1993 (east coast US).
Some crazy snowstorm in NYC that stopped almost all the traffic - it was very impressive. You could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and listen to a cell phone call a block away. I think it was 2000 or early 2001.
A snowstorm in 1979 when all my uncles built an enormous snowman together. That was great.
This last February, I got out of about 2 weeks of work because of snowstorms all back to back. Snow days are the best.

It was the first week of May this year. I skipped school to enjoy some fresh Tahoe powder - and it was still snowing!

One from this past winter (I think February) was my favorite. We knew it was coming, so my friends and I gathered together some supplies, went to one of their houses, and proceeded to spend the weekend snowed-in together

March of 2003, Colorado. It snowed all day Tuesday. No cars were on the roads on Wednesday. Most people didnt dig out until Thursday.

any snowstorm that is safely away from ME.

There was a snowstorm in north Texas on Christmas Eve last year. That was a pleasant surprise for me, because it typically doesn't snow in my area until around February.

There was also a snowstorm on February 11th of this year that lasted a few days. I took a bunch of pictures of it. It was really fun, and I hope it happens again.

Pretty much any day in Syracuse, NY from about Halloween to mid-April

And to give you an idea of how deep the snow was:

Last February we got double socked by being in the overlap of the storm that hit New York City and the storm that hit Washington D.C.

last winter, we got like over 145 inches of snow! I love Flagstaff!

blizzard of '79 lived in north dakota, snowed in for 3 days, when the plows came down the street they were really moving.. Dad's new car was parked on the street, one of the plows took off the rear fender, both doors on that side and the front fender while packing the interior with snow!

I know UK doesn't really compare, lol, but we're so underprepared the country comes to a stop as soon as it snows! Last year, I was snowed in for a week which was kind of cool coz we had enough snow for sledging first time that's happened in years!
