Despite the negative campaigning that made it clear only fools and crooks were running, I voted. Someone has to encourage the Lesser Evils of the world to keep trying.

Voting for me, besides the candidate or issue I choose, is a gesture of respect for those who have died defending the right and also for those who would willingly die in order to have that right. So yes, I voted. It's something we take for granted at our peril.

So true. I think being a woman puts an added sense of responsibilty towards voting for me. It really wasn't all that long ago that we weren't even allowed to vote. It's a civic duty that I take rather seriously, even if it is a contest between a douche and a turd.
