These are a couple of Youtube videos I really enjoyed, the first one detailing the evolution of women's fashion from 1795 to 1948...

...and the second one detailing women's fashion from 1949 to 1980.

I personally like the fashion of the 1790s, early 1800s, and 1910s. What about you?

Well, I LOVE hoop skirts. I also like Edwardian and Late Victorian. I'm also into the 1910s. And hairstyles are also of interest to me.

Oh god. I love this thread! This is what I went to graduate school for! Woohoo! History of fashion is so fascinating. I knew you were cool, Descartes, but this - nice!

My favorite time periods are similar to yours. The 1910s are fantastic with my favorite designer being Paul Poiret. I like almost nothing from the 19th century - well except some of the fetish wear was kinda cool, even by today's standards.

I like almost everything from the 18th century, particularly in France, but not in Spain. Mmm, England is a close second there. Early Renaissance Italy is crazy - I like it in a way.

I like the 1960s in England, the 1700s in Scotland and almost anything Medieval anywhere in Europe.

Yay, cool thread! :)

The 19th Century dresses have an old world charm to them. Helpful for hiding certain things, I think they're quite cool. 8)

I do admit for me, that it's Swinging London all the way for me though. 8)

If I could find miniskirts that stop 3 or 4 inches above the knee like a pair of longer shorts that fit me, I'd wear them but not on the days that I visit my mum.
