Yes I know, a bit overenthusiastic about it, but whatever.

Just got hired from an on-the-spot interview after searching a year and a few months for a new job.

So now I am working logistics at an Amazon.com warehouse earning quite a bit more than when I was working janitorial at the local hospital. Yeah it may be physical work, but honestly I think id rather do physical work than sit behind a desk all day. I like moving around and such instead of staying still.

Yeah it is Temp, but it can potentially turn into a permanent job there. Just finally happy that life seems to be quite a bit brighter for me. Should kick me out of my situational depression. So yeah, expect me to be a teeny bit less of an ass in and around the forums now.

well, not sure if anyone here would like to work there but I can say this as another benefit for those of us on the spectrum. Its a "mostly free" dress code. Only things not really allowed are really short shorts, really baggy clothes (can get caught in machines and stuff), Necklaces/long earrings/bracelets, and clothes with violent images/innuendo.

Its basically a slightly expanded public school dress code.


I start sunday, and then Ill tell yas how I like it.

so far so good. Yeah my feet absolutely kill me, but I doubt I can ever tolerate a job sitting around and typing/filling out papers. I just enjoy being on the move constantly. Get along with everyone in my department so that is a plus. And said position does have quite a bit of solitary time as well as short periods of dealing with routing support and whatnot. Management rocks my socks to say the least, always help ya whenever needed.
