Imagine if your in a nightclub, dancing on the dancefloor and your wanting to bump into someone else who has Aspergers. Perhaps this would be a good sign to use?

The hand sign is a good idea, but I don't think a nightclub would be a good place to find other people with aspergers, lol.

For some reason, when I see that, I think of the word, "Anarchy." Don't ask why, it just does. If you do happen across the signs for "Self" and "Mind" that would probably be closer, or some variation thereof. Oddly, I found that the deaf culture is kinda autistic in a way. My mother, who is taking ASL courses, has learned that they have no hindrance in calling someone "fat," and other things that verbal society considers socially taboo.

I was diagnosed with Aspergers and I’ve never had any problems with night clubs. However I guess everyone is different. I’m guessing that they’ll be a few other Aspies that love to dance the night away in such dives!

As an NT, I think I ought to point out that using the middle finger of one hand suggests a completely different message which may lead to a conflict.

well, thats two nightclub symbols i have in my repertoire now. the other one is if you put your hand in your pocket when dancing with a girl, it means you like her.

Good idea. It would be cool if a hand signal caught on and became more widely used.

Or what about a WP hand sign? Hold 3 middle fingers up and make a curved shape next to the third finger. Looks like the letters W and P.
So if you ever go to somewhere where there's aspies around like some nerdy gamer convention (stereotypical I know but it's just an example) You could do this sign and see if they sign back:

How about something more discreet and usable in more than just a club...and one that doesn't look like we're attempting to mimic hip-hop artists and rappers.

I think we should have tiny little button badges. Maybe just a colour...like in the Invisibles cartoon. :) Or small ones with a little 'WP' or an 'AS', would be very discreet.

Yep, I've always loved nightclubs too, so long as they're playing decent music and not full of people who are too trendy to dance.

Love the sign by the way :D
