Yesterday I helped spread good publicity about Linux in the midst of a sea of lies and misconceptions. I saw two people with Androids at work (on separate occasions), and I complemented them and told them that Android runs on Linux. They had never heard of Linux before. I told them about how awesome of an OS it is (okay, so technically it's a kernel, but I had to say it in a way a non-techie would understand). It seems I got to them first. 8)
