She's the cousin of a family friend. A really nice person, but she's shy (well duh), a fair bit older than me, lives in a different city and I suspect that she doesn't know about AS. But I have very little doubt that she's an aspie.
We didn't really exchange that many words but because we were both quite direct I learned alot more about her in a short time than I usually do with people.
I've promised myself that next time I talk to her, I'll tell her about my own aspergers. I reckon I'd be doing her a favour, even if it could wreck the oppertunity for a friendship. I can't be bothered with lying to preserve a friendship, it's not worth the trouble. But she seems quite socially tolerant anyway. And she's a cat freak- that's a good sign, right? :D

If she likes cats, she must be a nice person!

Sorry to steal the satisfaction of replying to this from CockneyRebel, but have you ever heard of Austin Powers?

I had a weird thought the other day, about a half-forgotten incident while I was on vacation. This was a day when I actually looked much better than normal, as I was wearing makeup and contact lenses. In any case, I went to a bookstore, and was looking at a shelf that contained books about subjects X and Y. I was only really interested in subject X, but someone came over, and started talking non-stop about subject Y. I did not know how to extradite myself from the situation. I kind of thought he might be hitting on me, but towards the end, he blurted out, "Oh, I see you have a ring. It seems like you are married." He didn't seem disappointed or anything. I guess he just wanted to talk non-stop about subject Y.

I think now that he may have been an Aspie.
