do you ever like to think you're a robot or mechanical?

Sometimes, to make myself feel better and calm as if I have some kind of control, I like to think of myself as mechanical or robotic. It's a nice feeling. I generally do this in private. My motions including my steps are very precise and measured and calculated. I like to think I can shut off my emotions and not smile or frown.

Thanks for reading.

edit: I wish I could remain like that indefinitely.

I remember once in school that I was in a gym class, standing amongst some other students including a girl I would rather have impressed. For some reason I got the idea into my head that they would be impressed if I turned out to be a robot. So I started making beeping and blooping noises.

They were impressed, all right. Just not in the way I had hoped for.

I like to think I can relate to machines pretty well.

As for actually being one, I'm not...yet.

I'll try that trick on myself. Imagine me being a happy robot that doesn't feel like crying. :)

I've tried to turn off my emotions before, or believed I could.

No, but I feel like other people are. My emotions kinda just shut off on their own when people expect me to have them. I do not have empathy for other people and when it appears I do, it is fake.

I'm a Time Lord. Other people are just characters in The Sims. The world is a giant Sim City. Some being has spent hours choosing the appropriate clothing, facial structure, weight and personality for these people.
