What are they? I keep hearing people talk about them. Is it something that only comes into play when you're in a relationship?

The need to be with someone or several persons (group)
The need to be loved
The need to be comforted
The need to cheered-up

Basicly everything regarding one supporting another in their moods.

Thanks. It's just that I heard this term thrown around quite a bit, but never saw it defined.

This may explain why there is sometimes such a rift in NT-AS relationships. The emotional needs can look very different for somebody on the spectrum, and definately differently alligned. For example a need to pursue ones interests and for personal space/alone time loom very large. In fact in may be at the heart of why people on the spectrum are so different. Our emotional and social needs are different.

I never had a specific need for alone time, and my interests often suck lol
